Children's Teeth Care A Child's Guide To Teeth Care
It is found that tooth decay is prevalent among the children of USA. These common tooth diseases are easily preventable but are left unattended and they eventually affect the overall health of the children. Children suffering from these diseases fail to concentrate in study and have speech and eating disorders. Children's teeth care programs are being undertaken to make the children aware of the effects of these tooth diseases. The American Dental Association has marked February as the National Childrens Dental Health Month.
In the second annual Give Kids a Smile Day event, dentists from all over Massachusetts are taking part to promote oral disease awareness among children. In this regard, they have taken an initiative to conduct a special children's tooth care program. The aim of this program is to provide free dental checkup for children and care for each and every child. Awareness concerning basic teeth care, such as brushing, flossing, sense of hygiene, and more is provided to be shaped among children. As we know children's teeth are very sensitive and are susceptible to diseases, a better tooth care education should be provided to them.
Dr. Renθ Bousquet, MDS president, is thankful to MDPH and appreciates their effort to help children to access proper teeth care and dental work. On the other hand, Mary Foley, Director of the Office of Oral Health at the MDPH feels proud that the dental community is working hand in hand to fight dental diseases that affect underprivileged children.
