Water Flosser – The Gentle Way To Remove Plaque
Tooth brushing is a part of a daily routine for many people, but flossing teeth isn’t always something that accompanies brushing. Flossing in between teeth is essential to maintain a healthy oral environment, as toothbrushes are not capable of cleaning between teeth. Dental floss can easily slide between teeth and remove any unwanted plaque or particles, but some people have very sensitive gums that often ache or bleed after flossing. For those who want to floss, but avoid doing so due to discomfort, now have the choice of a water flosser with the Waterpik Flosser and the Waterpik Oral Irrigator.
While water isn’t normally considered a common tool that can be used as a tooth flosser, water flossers have been proven to be just as useful in flossing as traditional dental floss. One of the most impressive benefits of using hydro-powered wet flossers is how gentle the water is on the gums as opposed to other means of flossing. Traditional dry dental floss causes friction on the wet surfaces in the mouth while a wet flosser simply glides between teeth while removing debris.
The Waterpik wet Flosser cleans in between each tooth and along the gum line where plaque regularly forms. The Waterpik flosser has a bendable tip that efficiently moves back and forth between teeth and along the gum line at 10,000 strokes per minute removing build up with each movement. The Waterpik Oral Irrigator does an exceptional job in defending against periodontal disease with its ability to access areas typically not reached by regular toothbrushes and dental floss.
The mouth is such a sensitive area and water is the gentlest way to cleanse such a delicate surface. Choosing a wet approach as opposed to the traditional way most people brush and floss can not only change the health of a person’s teeth but also the confidence truly clean teeth can produce. The Waterpik Flosser and Waterpik Oral Irrigator provide everyone with a way to have truly clean teeth for a fresh and clean smile.
