Bright Smile – Bright Smiles Foundation Brings Bright Future to Local Graduates

If you're like most people, you've thought about whitening your teeth, a relatively quick and inexpensive method of brightening your smile. At the office of John Sullivan, a local Tularean dentist, your bright smile contributes to the future of local graduates.

For the past 4 years Dr. Sullivan has donated 100% of revenue from teeth whitening procedures to his Bright Smiles Foundation, totaling over $20,000. This year in cooperation with Tulare School District, 11 local seniors will each receive a $500 at annual scholarship nights to be held this week at Tulare Western High School and Tulare Union High School.

Dr. Sullivan has been practicing general dentistry with an emphasis on cosmetics in Tulare for almost 20 years. A native Tularean, he returned to the area with his family after completing his education in the Bay Area. I enjoy giving back to our community, especially to our young people, Dr. Sullivan said. They are working hard to find their way and I am proud to do what I can to help them.

Local seniors submitted essays about what they'd like to experience academically and socially after graduation. The hard part was choosing the winners, Dr. Sullivan said. What mattered most was that they put time and effort into their answers and showed a desire to work hard.
